This Privacy Policy explains what and how DV Farm, Inc. uses and protects any information provided through its website and/or at events given to DV Farm, Inc. by anyone using this website, attending events, or otherwise engaging with DV Farm, Inc.

DV Farm, Inc. wants the public to know exactly how information is handled so that you know it is correctly handled, not sold, seen by any other individual(s) or entities outside of the DV Farm, Inc. Staff. While the purpose of this policy will remain the same, the specifics therein are subject to change. We ask that you check this page occasionally to ensure that you are both aware and comfortable with any changes.

DV Farm, Inc. collects the following information:

•    Demographic information, i.e., postal code, phone number (this is all voluntary information and is not strictly needed)

The information we collect may be used to:

•    maintain our records, the bulk of which are focused on event attendance, membership, and payment
•    improve the resources and services we offer, e.g., our website, fundraiser, outreach, etc.
•    contact you about resources or fundraisers we think you’ll find interesting

We will never distribute, sell, or lease your information to any third parties unless we have your express permission or are required by law. (We will never sell your information no matter how much money is given to us. We value your privacy as if it were our own.)

How do you keep my information secure?

DV Farm, Inc. prevents unauthorized access to or unintended disclosure of your information using both physical and electronic protection, coupled with comprehensive managerial procedures.

How can I control my information?

Under the Data Protection Act of 1998, you can request a copy of any information we have gathered about you (in some instances, we may require a small fee depending on how long ago the information was given to DV Farm, Inc. and the amount of information given). To request a copy of your information, please contact us at info@dvfarm.org with the subject “My Information”.

Unless otherwise noted, DV Farm, Inc. does not share your data with anyone. If we need to provide any law enforcement agency with information, we will do so under a search warrant. The only other reasons we would share data is if there is a need for emergency contact, legal, or security purposes.

How long we retain your data

If you send an email via our “Contact Us” page, the email and its metadata may be retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognize and approve any follow-up emails automatically and in the case of needing to review an email at a later date. Most emails are deleted within one year (365 days) from our email providers’ servers.

For users that register on our website (if any), we also store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information. (In the future, this may pertain to a “Blog” on DV Farm, Inc.’s website.)

What rights you have over your data

If you have sent an email on this site (using our form found on our “Contact Us” page), you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.
